Hi Kay,
Yep, crazy is a good term for our recent weather and especially for the expected weather in the next few days. Depending on location the ice and snow estimates vary, but it's the hard freeze that we are fearing. Forecasters suggest we will dip to single digits and possibly subzero temps. Magnolia's Monday current forcast is for 4 degrees, 1/4 inch of ice covered with 2-6 inches of snow. If we hit the 4 degree mark, it will be the lowest ever recorded here. Everything outside that needed to be wrapped is complete.
Btw, I received my 2nd Moderna shot yesterday. It packed a much larger punch than the first. Sore arm, headache, fever, chills and fatigue. Regardless, I feel thankful and blessed for the gift of the shot. If they come out with the variant booster vaccine, I'll get that too. Nancy gets her 2nd Pfizer shot next Saturday. She had absolutely no reaction to the first. After all that chemotherapy that she had, I think her body didn't even flinch with the vaccine :-). Thanks for thinking about us!
Roland: I hope you remember the good training you got as a kid in Rock Hill - don't forget the milk and bread (regardless of whether you need it or not), gas in the car (not that you can drive anyplace), and make sure you have plenty of blankets because this is when the furnace always goes out. Our daughter in Raleigh has had some cold weather and her furnace went out yesterday. She said at that time it was 55 degrees inside the house. Repair man was coming on Monday. Good luck, our prayers are with you! By the way, my hubby had his first shot Friday and on Saturday he had a sore arm, headache, and fatigue, but he didn't tell me until after it all went away. He's like that - he never complains. I hope I wasn't mean to him yesterday while he was feeling low. Happy Valentine's Day to you and Nancy!
