Nancy Bradley DeLoach, age 73, died at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, on Tuesday, the 15th of June, 2021.
The daughter of Elmo and Juanita Bradley, Nancy was born in Nashville, TN, and raised in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
During high school Nancy met the love of her life, Roland DeLoach, and they were married after she graduated from Winthrop College in 1969. Nancy loved science and marveled at God’s creation and design as she studied the world around her. Nancy’s greatest passion in life was being a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She had the unique ability to know exactly how to nurture those she held dear, to see the good in each, and to help them become better than they thought they could be.
Nancy spent her life in the service of others. Whether leading Vacation Bible School, teaching Sunday School for preschoolers, or quietly sponsoring missionaries and families in need, Nancy served as a beacon of God’s love. She taught high school students for over twenty years in North Carolina, Georgia, Texas, and New Jersey and was affectionately called “Mama D.” It was one of her life’s joys to build relationships and mentor her students. She was known for her gift of encouragement, relentless dedication, and a mother’s welcome to everyone she met. Nancy loved deeply and was loved deeply in return.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband Roland DeLoach; daughter, Angie Schultz and husband Wil; son, Brad and wife Lauren; son, Brian; six grandchildren, Parker and Colin Schultz, Lizzie, Nate, Ben and Lily DeLoach; and sister, Susanne Hunt. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bill Bradley.
The Addison family and staff of Magnolia Funeral Home extend condolences to her family and friends during this difficult time.
