Rock Hill High School, Class of '66, Rock Hill, SC
IN MEMORY
Linda Grant
With the help of Darrell McDaniel, he found a little information on Linda. She died in 1999 or around that period of time of a brain aneurysm. Thanks Darrell for gathering that information for our class!
From Cheryl Bumgarner: Date of birth 10/15/1947. Died 11/24/1997. Buried in Grandview Memorial Park.
Kay: Linda Grant moved to Rock Hill when the high school was on White St. downtown. I don't know the circumstances but she and a sibling were adopted by their aunt whose last name was Christmas (maybe Sheryl Christmas, not sure). They lived in the neighborhood behind the high school down and off S. Confederate. Don't remember the name of the street but do remember walking to her aunt's house on our lunch break a couple of times. That is when she told me about living with her aunt. Don't know if this info will help any but that's what I know about Linda.
Linda and I were in the 7th and 8th grades together at Finley Road Elementary. I believe her middle name was Grace. I remember picking on her every so often by calling her Gracie. She had a great personality and was loved by everyone that knew her. We, of course, graduated together in 1966. Not much news. I have no idea what became of Linda after graduation. Hope this helps!
I know a person that was married to Linda's sister. Will be back with info. in a couple days.
Also, sorry to hear of Charles Soles passing. I first met Charlie while I stayed with my grandmother in the city each summer. He was a friend to all. Really nice guy. He's in a better place now waiting on his classmates to join him.
