Thanks Cheryl Pope Bumgarner for these details about Johnny and your late brother-in-law.

"Johnny Cherry served in the Marines in Vietnam with my late brother-in-law, David Hill. They both died from cancer from Agent Orange."

Becky, thanks for that info about Agent Orange!  Not counting our classmates from RHHS, We lost seven classmates from our freshmen hall at Clemson in Viet-Nam before our graduation!  Two after their return from SE Asia in auto accidents.  If only they had given a little more effort in class!  God Bless these friends that were taken at such a young age.  Breaks my heart to think how much these young men could have contributed to a better world....how lucky some of us were.... & the guilt that we feel for their loss!

Semper Fi and Rest in Peace my Brother. I know and understand firsthand the complications associated with being exposed to that poison. I offer my prayers and now rest assured you are free and well at last and reside in a better place.

Sorry to hear about Johnny. I worked with his brother for years at the old A&P.
