My first day of school at Rawlinson Road I didn't know anyone and didn't know who would be nice enough to make friends with a guy on his first day. I didn't have to look far. Nard came up to me and introduced himself right away. A few hours later, he said hi to me again in history class. I thought he was quite possibly the biggest guy I'd ever met. At the time, he was. I came to learn in the years to come that the only think bigger than Nard was his heart.
