Maxine Karen Marshall Hardin, 65, of 1854 Baylor Drive, Rock Hill, SC passed away on January 18, 2018 at Pruitt Health in Rock Hill, South Carolina following a sudden illness. Visitation was Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 6:00PM -7:00PM at Parker Funeral Home. Funeral services began at 1:00PM at Gethsemane Church with burial at Barber Memorial Cemetery. Parker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Born September 23, 1952, Maxine was the daughter of J.C. Marshall (now in New Jersey) and the late Jean Hubbard.  She was reared by her paternal grandmother Odessa P. Marshall in Rock Hill, SC.  For a time Maxine worked at York General Hospital (Rock Hill, SC). Eventually she started her career at Bowater Incorporated, where after 20 years she moved to the highest position in the lab as an A tester and also held a post as an hourly safety coordinator.  She enjoyed reading her Bible, traveling to Myrtle Beach, singing, and playing the piano.  She loved her family dearly.
In addition to her father, Maxine leaves behind to mourn her death daughter Nicole Hardin Sterling (Sean); sons Bobby Jo Hardin (Deanna) and Donald Lee Hardin, Jr.; and 8 grandchildren and 1 granddaughter.

The Rock Hill Class of 1971 will always remember her lovely voice in her role as Carrie Pipperidge in our senior class play CAROUSEL.
