Michael Alan Robinson (1953 - 2016)

Michael Alan Robinson, age 62, passed away on September 13, 2016 at his home surrounded by his devoted family. He was born September 14, 1953 in Rock Hill, SC, the son of Doris Jordan Robinson of Rock Hill, SC and the late Carl Brandon Robinson.

Mr. Robinson was a graduate of Rock Hill High School where his interest in music began. He enjoyed playing in a band "The Salems" with fellow classmates who have reconnected in the last several years, playing for their high school reunions. He also had a love and talent for playing bluegrass music and enjoyed camping, swimming, and photography.

Mike worked in the manufacturing industry, real estate, and most recently as a lifeguard. He had incredible work ethic, always paying attention to detail, with each final outcome being a product of his best effort.

He will be remembered as a kind, gentle and loyal man of God and will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Mr. Robinson is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janet Wallace Robinson of Mint Hill, NC; daughters Carly Robinson, Shelly Degnan and her husband Jesse, all of Charlotte, NC; mother, Doris Jordan Robinson; brother Stanley Robinson and his wife, Marcia all of Rock Hill, SC.

Funeral Service will be held at three o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 16th of September, 2016 at Providence Presbyterian Church, 10140 Providence Church Lane, Charlotte, NC 28227 with visitation held one hour prior to the service.

Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
