Robert Frank Sarratt

Rock Hill, South Carolina - Mr. Robert Frank Sarratt, 68, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Atrium Health – Main in Charlotte, NC.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Catawba Baptist Church in Rock Hill, SC, with Dr. Ron Richardson and Dr. Tommy Huddleston officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall. Burial will be private.
Born in Rock Hill, SC, Mr. Sarratt was the son of the late Fritz Howard Sarratt and the late Edith Carper Sarratt. He was retired from Computer Science Corporation with 30 years of service. He also worked as IT Support with the Rock Hill School District. He enjoyed setting off professional fireworks for many years before realizing a long-time dream of becoming a hot-air balloon pilot. Ballooning was his passion, and he loved every minute spent in Eagles Wings, the hot-air balloon business that he and his wife, Peggy, owned. He was a member of Catawba Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday school for many years. He had a witty and unique sense of humor and a hat for every occasion.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Laura "Peggy" Garrison Sarratt; his daughter, Nicole (John) Kingsbury of Rock Hill; his granddaughters, Cadence Kingsbury, Nevaeh Kingsbury, Mihkayle Mason, and Alys Zaslove; his brother, Glenn (Helen) Sarratt of Greenville, SC; and his sister, Janet Tedstone of Simpsonville, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Sarratt's name to Catawba Baptist Church, 1450 S. Anderson Rd., Rock Hill, SC 29730; or to Prison Fellowship, Angel Tree, PO Box 1550, Merrifield, VA 22116.
