Barbara Henriette Shehan Dunavant (6/19/1953 - 4/24/2016)
Our beloved wife, mother, and friend, Barbara Shehan Dunavant of Rock Hill, peacefully went to be with the Lord on April 24th, 2016 surrounded by family and friends. She was born June 19th, 1953 and was a graduate of Rock Hill High School class of 1971.
Barbara was the daughter of Harry J. and Carrie Bechtler Shehan of Rock Hill. She is survived by husband, Chester “Chet” Dunavant; son, Jason S. Cooper and girlfriend, Darby Stubberfield; Kari A. Bounds and fiance’, Michael Crump and Missy A. Dunavant; sister, Carolyn Heath and husband, Robert; and five grandchildren, Christian, Gracie, Kayleigh, Hudson and Grant.
Barbara loved her family, church family, and friends. She had a passion for gardening, photography and taking care of others. Barbara was also a member and an active supporter of the Hope Cancer Ministry. She will be greatly missed by all.
A Celebration of Life service will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, April 28th at Park Ridges Baptist Church, 5099 Trotter Ridge Court, Rock Hill.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, April 27th at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill.
