Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2010, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, with Chaplin Miriam Mick and Pastor Doug Mayhew officiating. Burial will follow in at Neely's Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Born in Rock Hill, S.C., Mrs. Helms was the daughter of Shirley Haire Reeves of Rock Hill and the late J. P. Reeves Sr. She was a member of Neely's Creek Presbyterian Church and a homemaker. In addition to her father, Mrs. Helms was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Vick C. Helms Sr.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Helms is survived by her husband, Vick C. Helms Jr.; mother and father-in -law, Patsy and Ward Bowie of Indian Land; her brothers, J. P. "Buddy" Reeves Jr. and wife, Ann, and Charles Reeves, all of Rock Hill; her sister-in-law and caregiver, Rita Easler of Lancaster; her sisters-in-law, Terry Hilton of Van Wyck and Patsy Langley of Indian Land; her nephew, Jonathan Reeves of Charleston; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Barbara also had two most precious friends and that was her two dogs, Sandy and Soxs.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday prior to service at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
