John Berry, a former classmate and co-president of the Class of 1971 with Harry Emerson, died 1-10-09 at Mercy in Charlotte. He had attended Winthrop, USC, and UNCC. He was a 25-year employee of Celanese as a senior technician specialist.  He left behind a wife (1971 Classmate Amelia Ann Massey Berry) and two daughters.
