Robert Howard Neely

EDGEMOOR, S.C. - Mr. Robert Howard Neely, 56, of 5089 Harmony Church Road, passed away Monday, October 5, 2009 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. A memorial service celebrating the life of Robert will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 8, 2009 at First ARP Church with Dr. Robert J. Robinson, officiating and Reverend Andrew R. Stager, assisting. Burial will be private. Born in Rock Hill, Robert was the son of the late Howard Sumner and Mary Frances Sturgis Neely. Robert was a 1975 graduate of Winthrop College where he received a BS Degree in Business Administration and served as the Southeastern Representative to the Lutheran Student Movement He was a former President of the Rock Hill Jaycees and also served as a District Director for the South Carolina Jaycees. Robert was general manager of the former Addison Corporation in Augusta, GA prior to becoming a sales manager with Jeld-Wen Millwork of North Wilkesboro, NC. Surviving are his wife, Lillian Reeves Neely, of the home; his son, Mark Howard Neely and wife, Andrea, of Durham, NC; his daughter, Robin Neely Simpson and husband, Jonathan, of Denver, NC; his sister, Carol Neely Roper and husband, Tom, of Rock Hill and five grandchildren, Lilly, Avery, Neely, Maddie and Alex. The family will receive friends at the home on Wednesday evening and following the memorial service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice & Community Care, P. O.
