Mr. Charles Richard Ellis

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Mr. Charles Richard Ellis, 64, of 3216 Griffith Street, Charlotte, N.C., passed away on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at his residence. He was born on July 29, 1949, in Rock Hill, S.C., to the late Selena"Lena" Barnes Ellis. He served in the U.S. Army. He joined Cross Baptist Church at an early age, then relocated to Charlotte, N.C. Charles was a very likeable person. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Channie M.Mitchell and a brother, James T. Ellis. He is survived by son, Rodney Biggers of Charlotte; sister, Alice R. Perry of Rock Hill; brothers, John L. Ellis (Robbie) and George R. Ellis, both of Rock Hill; special friend, Wanda Thompsonof Charlotte; sister-in-law, Beverly Ellis of Rock Hill; and a host of nieces,nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 noonon Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at Parker Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12 noon on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at Parker Funeral Home, with Bishop B.R. Wilson officiating and the Rev. Belinda Brown-McClure assisting. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park-Cherry Road. Parker Funeral Home isin charge of arrangements.
