Morris Sylvester Chisholm VIEW PROFILE

Morris Sylvester Chisholm died July 12, 2020 in Rock Hill, SC.  Morris was the 7th of ten children born April 20, 1953 to Sammie Chisholm and Annie Mae Watkins.  As his daughter Asha Fatima wrote:

He grew up in the country corners of Rock Hill, SC. He touched many many hearts through out his gracious years. He served twice during the Vietnam War in the USA Army. Adventures and dedication didn’t stop with being there for his country, at any time anybody needed him he tried to always be there. From taking his nieces back and fourth to school during their college days to giving rides to his “dialysis buddies,” while fighting for his own life as he attended dialysis 3 times a week. Back in 2006 he thought the fight was over because his lovely wife, Janicea Chisolm, was able to give her kidney to him. His kidney lasted for 8 years and 9 months before his fight started again. Though at the time it scared his loved ones around him, Morris put on his warrior face and continued to fight another 5 years. Throughout his life he fought hard for his health and for his country and he no longer has to suffer.

To mourn him, Morris leaves eight siblings (Sammie Jr. "Duke," Gloria, Linda, Johnny, William "Dusty," Marshall, and Mildred) and six children (Delicia, Shelton, Morris, JaAnna, Jerrin, and Asha).  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Bertha.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete as of 7/24/2020.
