David Raleigh Self  1/20/1954 - 6/18/2021

Rock Hill – David Raleigh Self, 67, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021 at his home.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, with Reverends Bill Gressette and Andy Simpson officiating.  Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park – Cherry Road. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 1:45 pm on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC.

Born in Rock Hill, David was the son of the late William R. Self and the late Inez Jordan Self.  He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Andrea Kelly Klitzka; his brothers, William Jerry Self, Ray F. Self, and Reverend Glenn E. Self; and his sister, Peggy Brazil.  He was retired from Duke Energy and was a member of Park Ridge Baptist, Rock Hill.

David is survived by his wife, Deborah Hudson Self; his two sons, Brian Scott (Michelle) Self of Cordova, SC and Daniel Adam (Kelly Elizabeth) Self of Bladenboro, NC; his daughter, Brandy Leigh Simpson of Rock Hill; his sister, Frances Mynatt of Gatlinburg, TN; his brother, Donnie Jordan (Margie) Self of College Station, TX; eight AWESOME grandchildren; and his son-in-law, Jeramie A. Klitzka.
