Peter Miller Perrill, 77, of Pawleys Island, SC was called home to his Savior, Jesus
Christ, on November 15, 2023 after a brief fight with pancreatic cancer. Peter was born
in Queens, New York on March 12, 1946 to Dorothy and Robert Perrill.
Peter lived in Rock Hill, SC for the majority of his life. He graduated from his beloved
alma mater, The University of South Carolina in 1968, and received his J.D. from USC
in 1971. Peter practiced law in Rock Hill, and he served in the USAF for 28 years,
retiring as a Lt. Colonel.
Throughout his life, Peter had a true heart for service, and mentored many people in
their walk with the Lord. He was a true warrior for Christ and an active member of
Surfside Presbyterian Church. What is more, Peter never met a stranger. He made
conversation with anyone he met, and connected with them. Peter impacted so many
lives for the better with his amazing compassion and generosity. He was a dedicated
husband, father, brother and friend. He possessed a passion for playing golf and fishing
which he passed on to his grandchildren.
Peter is survived by his wife Brenda Gore Perrill and their two children Miller and
Kathryne (Matt Teefy). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren - Alia, Iliana, Aiden, Liam,
and Alessia. In addition, he is survived by his brother, John Perrill (Claire), his sister
Patti Cloninger (Andy), his sister-in-law Kathryne Perrill, and many nieces and nephews.
Peter is preceded in death by his parents; Robert and Dorothy Perrill as well as his
brother Frederick Perrill (USN).
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Surfside Presbyterian Church for
Coastal School Ministries, or the Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Surfside Presbyterian Church.
