ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Merilyn Brawley Hoffman, 60, died at her home on Oct. 9, 2007.

A celebration of her life will be held Friday, Oct. 12 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel in Rock Hill. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by the celebration at 11 a.m.

Mrs. Hoffman was a graduate of Winthrop Training School and a member of Mt. Holly United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Hoffman; her mother, Helen Dunlap Brawley; her sister, Paula B. Goss; and her brother, John D. "Jack" Brawley.

She is survived by her father, Paul B. "Dick" Brawley of Rock Hill and her brother, W. Scott Brawley of Columbia.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Walker Foundation, benefiting the S.C. School for the Deaf and Blind, 355 Cedar Springs Road, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
