April 4, 1945 ~ July 24, 2014Felix (Phil) John Chabre, Jr, the Fish Whisperer, left a big empty space in our hearts and in our family when he passed away on July 24, 2014. Felix was born on April 4, 1945 to Veronica and Felix Chabre, Sr in Rock Springs, WY. He graduated from Rock Springs High School in 1964 and married Jeanne Pedersen, his high school sweetheart that same year. They were happily married for 50 years. He spent his career working for Questar Pipeline (Mountain Fuel), retiring in 1999 as the head of the drafting department. He made lifelong friendships with many of his co-workers. He was nicknamed "The Boss" by his employees and they loved working for him. He moved from Rock Springs to Salt Lake in 1979. After Felix and Jeanne both retired, they moved to Manila, Utah. Felix loved the outdoors. He spent many hours on Flaming Gorge with his fishing buddy, Tom Andrews, and the fish in the lake can now rest a little easier. He and Jeanne had three daughters: Tammy, Tracy, Toni; many of the girl's friends called him Dad. He was grandpa to any and all kids. Family meant everything to Felix and he was always with his children and grandchildren. There wasn't a kid he knew that he didn't take fishing and make sure they all caught fish. He spent countless hours driving the boat while Jeanne taught them how to waterski. He loved to laugh and play practical jokes; you never really knew when to take Phil serious. He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne Chabre, his three amazing daughters, Tammy Chabre-Lewis (Randy), Tracy Chabre Comas (Brett) and Toni Chabre Brown; eight grandchildren; Jonathon Horrocks (Jessica), Brad Horrocks (Melissa), Jessica Harward (Aaron), Jennifer McDonald, Makali'i Brown, Isabelle Brown, Nate Lewis (Susie) and Jordan Wiser (Jake), nine great grand children, brothers Ben Chabre (Donna), Virgil Chabre (Juanita) and sister Mary Ann Kendall (Dennis).
