Michael Leon Lesko

Michael Leon Lesko, 60, Rock Springs, passed away on October 7, 2006, at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County.

A lifelong resident of Rock Springs, Lesko had been in ill health for the past two years.

He was born in Rock Springs on Sept. 27, 1946, the son of the late Andy and Louise Lesko.

Lesko attended schools in Rock Springs and was a 1964 graduate of Rock Springs High School.

He married Frances Davis in Rock Springs on Sept 19, 1970.

Lesko was a United Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietname War.

He was empliyed at OCI for 36 years, and in soo4, ill health forced his retirement.

Lesko was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Community.

His interests included spending time with his family at their cabin at the Green River Lakes.  He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Lesko of Rock Springs; two sons, Jon Lesko and wife Dena, and Jim Lesko and wife Stephanie, two brothers-in-law, Norm Davis of Rock Springs and William Davis and wife Evelyn of Laramie:  one sister, Nancy Lesko and husband Arthur, all of Rock Springs; five grandchildren, one great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Louise Lesko; his father-in-law and mother-in-law William and Frances DAvid; one sister-in-law, Shirleen Davis; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 am Thursday at the Our Lady of Sorrows CAtholic Churh, 116 Broadway.  Father CArl Beavers will officiate.
