Buzz Kramer was a fun and funny guy. He always had a wide circle of friends. He and I both dated, and later married girls from the RRHS class of 1966. I was honored to be his best man when he married Stephanie Myers. Buzz and Stephanie and Sharon and I remained close friends as we went through our college years, first jobs and had children. Buzz was a talented artist, attended the Cleveland Institute of Art, and worked as a greeting card artist at American Greetings. Being the free spirit he was, he bristled at the corporate structure of American Greetings and aspired to find a way to use his talents on his own. His first love was rock and roll. He knew every song and artist. He was a skilled and self-taught drummer, and always played in a band. He died too young in 1986.

I look at that photo of him and all I see is mischief. I remember him as a fun guy and yes all these years later I miss him as well.
