Everyone probably knows Roseanne was my best friend all my life. Her father, Bunky, and her mother, Mary were best friends with my parents. They used to play cards together and we played as very young children in the sand box (and dress-up too). Roseanne almost drown in our swimming pool on Gasser Blvd. I'll never forget that day. And you know how the elderly talk about walking to school, well, Roseanne and I really did walk to school for many years; I often had breakfast at her house and her mom made the best soft-boiled eggs on toast. And, of course, you know we sang duets and performed together. We also took signing lessons from Mrs. Meyers and Ken Poulsen was a regular with us at church. And we even performed in private plays.
I was totally shocked when I found out she died from dementia--what a tragedy--must have been early onset. It's hard for me to accept that. --Andrea Campbell (Potantus)
