SEPTEMBER 15, 2024

Oh my goodness, what a fun and memorable weekend it was, and we can't believe it's over!  Everything went as planned, not a hitch in the activities, and lovely weather (although maybe a tad on the warm side).  Getting together and reminiscing does a soul good, and we certainly did have a lot of love in every room.

The dinner at Medinah Country Club was delicious and what a beautiful venue we were lucky to share.  We had a fun photo booth, and open bar, a rolling vignette on the big screen of bits of our 4 years at LPHS and so much constant chatter that no one could hear the incredible play list.  Not to worry, we've loaded it here (left side bar) so you can have your own dance party.

The memorial service on Saturday was heartfelt and poignant, and was especially significant because of the words of our classmate, deacon Fred Maier.  The importance of maintaining and nurturing these relationships really hit home in light of missing those people who we all made memories with in one way or another.

Our former Social Studies teacher, Mr (David) Victor, led us around LPHS to see all that has changed in 50 years.  He shared stories with humor and enthusiasm, and we all enjoyed that trip down memory lane.

Then off to Roselle for the trivia scavenger hunt, which was enjoyed by all.  It ended at Lynfred Winery, where everyone had another chance to reminisce and relax, before gathering up the energy to head off to Tree Guys in Itasca.

The fun didn't stop, and it was another raucous evening amonst friends, enjoying a taste of the old days, except now everyone was able to add a beer to their pizza diet!

Sunday morning found us getting together at Dolce V and/or Dino's for our farewells.  It was bittersweet to say goodbye, until next time, to our dear friends.

Thanks to everyone who participated, supported, encouraged and enjoyed our weekend together.

We'll post memories and photos as soon as we can - in the meantime if you have photos to share please go to the PHOTOS link on the left side, and add to the gallery of choice.

Everyone up for a 55th?
