Julie Pulford, 43, of Richville, MN, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, after a battle with colon cancer. She was born Aug. 22, 1957, at Berwyn, Ill. She graduated from Medina, Ill., High School, working one and a half years before spending two years in the U.S. Army, serving in Germany for one year. After her discharge, she moved to Battle Lake, where she worked for Northwestern Bell for three years. On Nov. 17, 1981, she married Rick Pulford in Fergus Falls. They have made their home near Walker Lake on their farm. Mrs. Pulford worked for Quality Circuits in Fergus Falls from 1992 to the present. She was very active in 4-H serving as a Club Key Leader and Key Leader of the EOT 4-H Horse Project. She also served on the Minnesota 4-H State Horse Board. Julie’s life centered around her family and her tremendous love of animals, especially horses, teaching her children how to raise and train horses as well as improve their horsemanship abilities. Julie and her children enjoyed horse shows, trail rides at Maplewood State Park, camping and the outdoors with their horses. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Amor. Survivors include her husband, Rick; and daughters, Jessica, Kelli and Katelyn; a son, Jeffrey, all of Richville; her parents, Roger (Red) and Dorothy Otterman of Clitherall; two sisters, Nora and Kathy; a brother, George; a step-sister, Donna; and two step-brothers, Douglas, David and Dan. Preceding her in death was one brother, Gregory. Visitation: Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church Service: 1 p.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church, Amor Clergy: Rev.
