Diane Snell passed in 2014, verified by her partner, Gloria Diggle
DIANE SNELL shared her talents across the spectrum of the arts with her students. A native of St. Louis with teaching experience in that area, Diane brought perceivable energy and excitement into her classrooms (which she called her "studios"). One of Diane's most prominent legacies was the establishment of the incredibly popular photography program within the Fine Arts Department. Diane's drawing ability was legendary as was her ability to teach students that skill. After retirement, Diane built a home with a prominent studio area outside Gainesville, Florida -- her brother bought an adjacent parcel and built his family home there -- and concentrated on her love of creating sculpture. Her wonderful laugh and smile will always be remembered by students and staff alike.

Just saw this. "Miss Snell" was my favorite teacher of all time. So sorry for the families & students loss.
