Eugene "Gene" Thomas Swierczewski, age 86, of Hoffman Estates for over 42 years. Beloved husband of Martha E. Swierczewski, nee Morey. Loving father of Thomas Gene (Jill) Swierczewski, Steven Charles (Melissa) Swierczewski, Susan (Peter) Maloney, Mark Swierczewski, Michael Swierczewski, David Swierczewski, and Christopher (Kim) Swierczewski. Cherished grandfather of Sydney, Devin, Evan, Julia, Drew, Erin, Kieran, Leia, Sean, Brendan, Trevan, Dylan, and Jenna. Devoted son of Charles and Marie Swierczewski. Dear brother of Harry (Donna) Connor and the late Charles (Fran Ann) Swierczewski. Gene started teaching English at Lake Park High School, when it opened in 1956, and advanced through many levels until he retired as the associate superintendent. He was also a professor and supervisor of student teachers at Elmhurst College and Benedictine University. A memorial visitation will be Friday from 3-7 PM at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg. Memorial service will be held Saturday at 11:00AM at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 930 West Higgins Road, Schaumburg, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to Arden Courts, Geneva, IL or Lake Park Educational Foundation, Roselle, IL.
