Bob and I were friends from 7th grade on. His kindness and sense of humor attracted many friends. From early on he had a love of anything artistic. The year that we had almost no snow for Snow Daze he found a patch in the shade of the new wing about six inches deep and eight feet wide. We made snow scuptures about a foot high and painted them with tempura color. We won first prize as we were the only scuptures that year...I am very saddened to hear of Bob's loss. He was a true gentleman and fine man.
BJ and I were drawn together at school by Theater Arts (mostly set design and construction ... Bob the artist and I was labor), by mutual friends and group activities, and also as extended family because my sister Ann (RHS 68) dated then married his brother Larry (RHS 67). Lost touch after seeing him last at Larry's funeral in 2001. Bob was a truly nice person.
