Mark Geer

MANTON - Mark Geer, age 53, of Cadillac died suddenly Thursday morning, July 31, 2008.

He was born on July 30, 1955 in Detroit to Eugene and Geraldine Geer and grew up and attended schools in Roseville.

He joined the U.S. Army after high school and came to Manton in 1977. Mark had been a resident of Cadillac for the last five years and worked as a machinist at AAR Mobility. He loved riding his motorcycle, music and being with his friends and family.

He is survived by three sons, Jeff (Bridget) Geer of Cadillac, Eugene (Becky) Geer of Evart and Michael (Angie) Geer of Beaverton; nine grandchildren; brothers and sisters, James (Denise) Geer, Chris (Tim) Rich, Judy (Norman) LaPrise, Ken Geer, Keith Geer, Diane (Al) Aloe, Kathy (Ray) Leone and Nancy (Oscar) Hunter; and his mother, Geraldine.

He was preceded in death by his father on July 1, 1979.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at the Hall Funeral Chapel in Manton with Rev. James Thompson of the Manton Free Methodist Church officiating. Visitation was from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the ¨ funeral home.
