Shelia Kay Poindexter, 58, Fort Oglethorpe
Shelia Kay Poindexter of Fort Oglethorpe died on Sunday, December 23, 2012. She was 58.
She was the daughter of the late Freddie E. Campbell and Sarah Ramsey Campbell. Shelia never met a stranger and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and aunt.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Bill Poindexter; children, Christy (Kevin) Wallin of Fort Oglethorpe, William (Mindy) Poindexter of Chickamauga, and Nick (Ashley) Poindexter of Ringgold; five grandchildren, Justin Wallin, Haley Wallin, Jake Poindexter, Jaxon Poindexter and Eli Poindexter; brother, Freddie Lamar Campbell of East Ridge, Tenn.; sisters, Patsy (Preston) Terry of Ringgold, Glenda Collins of Flintstone, and Fredda (Kenneth) Guest of Rossville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services: Thursday, Dec. 27, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Steve Camp officiating. Burial: Lakewood Memory Gardens, South with Mike Yarbrough, Brad Wagner, Ron Henry, Jerry Davis, Eddy Williams and Mike Gard serving as pallbearers. Visitation: Wednesday, Dec. 26, from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
