Two memories about Chuck - In the second or third grade, I forgot my lunch money - Chuck loaned me enough money to buy a burrito and a Coke from the snack bar.
In the seventh or eighth grade, his good deed did not go unnoticed. My mom was the Judge in the home economics cake baking contest that Chuck had entered. Yes....Chuck Corzine won the contest. I'm sure he baked the best cake, but my mom loved Chuck since the day he bought my lunch. She may have been slightly biased in judging the contest.
I was saddened and surprised to see that Chuck was no longer with us. He will be missed but forever remembered by me (and my mom) as a good guy with a good heart!
