Cheryl Diane (Cobine) Hopkins, 59, died at 2:50 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2010, at Alton Memorial Hospital.  In accordance with her wishes, her body was donated to medical research.  Marks Mortuary in Wood River was in charge of arrangements. 

Cheryl had a lung removed, got pneumonia this spring, twice, got MRSA virus from the hospital and had a stroke on Memorial Day.  She was just too tiny and weak to fight it all.
