Betty J. Jackson, 63, passed away 7:25 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born in Wood River on July 7, 1950, she was the daughter of James and Lois (McCord) Gordon.
On Nov. 8, 1969, in East Alton, she married David E. Jackson. He survives.
Surviving also are two sons, David and Timothy Jackson, both of Roxana; six brothers, Richard (Portia) Gordon of Moro, James (Nona) Gordon of Alabama, Jerry (Pam) Gordon of Godfrey, Steve (Mary) Gordon of Rosewood Heights, Larry Gordon of Wood River, Dave Gordon of Brighton; and a sister, Deborah Bonebrake of Brighton.
Her parents; and a brother, Terry Gordon preceded in death.
In accordance with her wishes, her body was cremated.
A "Day of Celebration" commemorating her life will be held at a later date.
Marks Mortuary in Wood River was in charge of arrangements.
