Classmate Debbie Day Barnhart died on Sunday, August 29, 2021, following years of declining health from Alzheimers. She passed in Charleston, SC, where she and husband Gerald had moved about 4 years ago to be near their daughter Kelli for care. They also have a son, Kyle. Debbie is also survived by two sisters, Hilda and Vivian, and a brother, Richard. I found online an address for Gerald: 514 Robert Daniel Dr., Apt. 344, Daniel Island SC 29492.

Burnell Thomas (Tom) Rogers, Jr.
I have the fondest memories of being classmates with Debbie at Bushy Fork School. I have not seen her in many years. I have thought of her from time to time and how her infectious smile, twinkling eyes and cheerful demeanor added to the fun spirit that existed among us. She was a blessing to her classmates that left Bushy Fork School in the spring of 1965 for RHS. I offer my deepest condolences to her family.

Debbie was a fun loving person in her youth. We were best friends all the way through the Bushy Fork grammar grades (1-8) in those days. I remember riding the bus home with Debbie and all her siblings having so much fun laughing and talking making the long bus ride an adventure. Debbie's sweet nature and inviting smile will be missed. Condolences to Debbie's family and friends that span back for many years.
