DONALD LEE “SKEETER” FORD age 59 (born November 22, 1950), of 101 Beaver Creek Parkway, Roxboro, NC died Tuesday evening, August 24, 2010 at Person Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Ford was a native of Person County, NC, son of the late William Henry and Nellie Walker Ford and husband to Montie H. Ford who survives. He was retired from Progress Energy and was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the US Army where he served in Vietnam.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, David H. Ford, a daughter, Danielle L. Ford, a grandson, Tyler D. Guill, all of Roxboro, NC and a sister, Margaret Ann Harris & husband, Donnie of Apex, NC

Mr. Ford is preceded in death by four brothers, Earl, Ralph, Billy and Thomas Ford.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 27, in the Strickland Funeral Home Chapel by Shaun Buchanan. The family will receive friends from 6:30 till 8:00 pm Thursday, August 26, at the funeral home and other times at the home.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Clayton, Ricky Davis, Tyler Guill, Jimmy Harris, Leroy Kennedy, Mark Martin, Scotty Pixley and Mike Wilkerson.
