John Phillip Mangum age 63 of Roxboro died Friday, November 21, 2014, at Person Memorial Hospital. He was born in Person County to the late John Tate Mangum and Frances Clayton Mangum. He is predeceased by his daughter, Stacy Gentry Howard and his brother, Jerry Anderson Mangum.

Surviving is his daughter, Stephanie Nicole Gentry and her mother, Margie Gentry of Roxboro; his sister, Deborah Mangum Wilson of Roxboro; his granddaughter, Savannah Noelle Jones; his nephew, Christopher Bowling (Mary Rachel); and his great nephew, Jack Bowling.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, November 23, 2014, at the Brooks & White Chapel with the Rev. Sam Patterson officiating.

The family will receive friends 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Sunday, one hour prior to the service.
