Classmate Evelyn Poole Westcomb passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, following an extended illness.  Our sympathy to her family, including her sister, our classmate Gail Poole Clayton (165 Clayton Hollow Rd., Roxboro NC  27574)

Evelyn Poole Westcomb, 75, died Tuesday, March 11, 2025. Evelyn was the daughter of the late Raeford and Collie Mae Poole of Semora and the wife of the late Richard Westcomb. Evelyn was a beautician for 40 years.

Mrs. Westcomb is survived by her daughters, Lisa Clayton (Joseph) of Roxboro and Rebecca Briley (Mark Hardee), of Winterville; her mother, Collie Mae Poole, of Burlington; her sisters, Naomi Crumpton (Robert) of Burlington and Gail Clayton, of Roxboro; her brother, Eddie Poole (Donna); three grandchildren Alec Clayton, C.J. Briley and Alexus Clayton; six nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11AM Friday, March 14, 2025 at the Brooks & White Chapel by the Rev. Herbert Brown. Burial will follow in the Burch Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6:30-8PM Thursday at the Brooks & White Funeral Home and at other times at the home Lisa and Joseph Clayton, 550 Dancy Day Rd., Roxboro.

Pallbearers will be C.J. Briley, Eddie Poole, Buddy Clayton, Mark Hardee and Joseph Clayton.
