Mrs. Anita Thomas Wilfong, age 39, a resident of 41 St. James Estates Drive, Roxboro, NC died in her home Tuesday morning, Dec. 29, 2009, following an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late Rev. James Lee Thomas and Shirley Stanfield Thomas. Mrs. Wilfong was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Douglas Wilfong, of the home; two daughters, Shari and Kristin Wilfong, both of the home; her mother of Roxboro; one sister, Minister Zanetta T. Thompson of Greensboro, NC; and one brother, J.L. Marcus Thomas Jr. of Roxboro.

A funeral service was conducted Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, at 2 p.m. in Union Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Rufus Johnson Sr. officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
