Sterling "Buddy" Gregory Hamlett Obituary Sterling "Buddy" Gregory Hamlett, 64, of Roxboro, died on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. Born in Person County, he was the son of the late Willie Vance Long and Mary Winstead Long. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Lee Hamlett. Surviving are his two children: Jeremy Hamlett of Roxboro and Justin Paige Hamlett of Beaufort; two brothers: W. N. Hamlett (Debbie) of Elon and Vance Long (Linda) of Roxboro; one sister, Wanda Perkins (Charles) of Roxboro; four grandchildren: Olivia Crittenden (Jeremiah), Haley Hamlett, Nathan Hamlett and Sophia Hamlett. Visitation will be held 1-2:30 PM Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the Brooks & White Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Jeremy Hamlett, 1411 Lack Dr., Roxboro.
