Obituary TOMMY LEE BARTS age 63, of 2393 McGhees Mill Road, Roxboro, NC died Friday morning, February 17, 2023 at the Hock Family Pavilion. Mr. Barts was born May 5, 1959 in Person County, NC, son of the late Banks Junior Barts & the late Patricia Ann Bowes Rowland. Prior to becoming disabled he was a carpenter and was of the Baptist faith. Tommy enjoyed NASCAR, UNC basketball, the Dallas Cowboys, softball, fishing, riding his four-wheeler, and just spending time outdoors. Surviving is a sister, Teresa Barts, brother, Michael Barts, companion, Debbie Palmer, all of Roxboro, NC, and six nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Barts is preceded in death by a brother, Wendell Ray Barts. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 20, 2023 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Tim Bowes officiating. Interment will follow in the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends and guests for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home or at the home of Teresa Barts, 1426 Chestnut Street, Apt. B, Roxboro, NC. Pallbearers will be Chris Barts, Kaden Barts, Kobe Barts, Tyler Barts, Tommie Taylor, and Jerry Williams.
