I meet Jeanette at Earl Bradsher Elementary School this was before the schools were deceragated. I can remember for the first 4 grades that Jeanette and I with a few others Anthony Thompson, Carl Outlaw and Tammy Downey from time to time were the only blacks @ Earl Bradsher during that period.  Jeanette and I was always competing againt one another during field day. She was the fastest girl and I was the fastest guy she would beat me sometimes then I would beat her sometime. Needless to say that we didn't get along to well back then because of the competitiveness, but again it could have been mostly me because I didn't want a girl to beat me running.

When we got older we would always remind each other of those Earl Bradsher days, she alway remembered and talked about the Saint Bernard Dog that would always be waiting for the kids on the play ground during recess we didn't remember the dogs name but to use little kids back then he appeared to be as big as a small horse and he would be on the playground faithfully waiting for the kids everyday. We also talked about Mrs. Goins, Mrs. Suitt and Mrs. Cole (she was our music teacher). We were intoduced to the play Fiddler on the Roof in which we some how remembered the lyrics to If I Was A Rich Man, we also learn how to do the Charlston and she would always talk about performing the Philippine Bamboo Dance called Tinikling. Those were the good old day and we enjoyed talking about them.

RIP Jeanette I'll miss talking with you.......
