Craig A. Purser, 62, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on April 23, 2018. He was born on June 9, 1955, to Leo and Florence Andrews Purser in Roy, Utah. He grew up in Roy, where he spent his childhood and adolescent years in Roy, playing in the fields, going to school and learning to work on cars and his motorcycle.

He married Julie Thackeray on May 16, 1975. Together they raised two children. He enjoyed going to boat races together, camping at Bear Lake, barbecues in the backyard around the pool, boating and his motorhome. He loved his job as supervisor for Utility Trailer, working with his neighbors, sword making and the Seattle Seahawks.

Craig is survived by his wife, Julie; his children, Jeremy Purser and Tricia Purser; one grandchild, Jayden Purser; his father, Leo; sister, Joan Johnson; his brother, Jerry Purser; many adopted children and grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Florence; and his nephews, Travis Campf and Tyler Foote.

The family would like to send a special thanks to Dr. Schmitz, Dr. Ivester and his team and also to A Step Forward Hospice and Palliative Care.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 30, 2018, at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Myers Mortuary with a viewing prior to the services from 10 to 10:40 a.m.
