Well....Where do I start....Keith and I grew up together from day one on the same block as one another on Poplar Ave. in Fair Haven. I knew Keith his entire life and there were may times playing together as children with the Poplar Ave. kids....Me,Keith, my brother Pete,Stephanie and Chrissy Hesse, Hattie O.Neill. and others. I remeber playing baseball with Keith and Dave Devlin. We were all on the same team growing up. There are lots of juvenile memories for Keith and I. When Keith moved to Rumson I remember we grew apart and made different friends in high school. Keith was always a very nice and pleasant person to me though. My brother Pete and I saw Keith a lot after high school being involved with a softball. I am sorry to see him gone. He will be missed and I always will remember the good memories!!! Sincerly, Debbie Chandler(Merrill)
As the last person to have contact with Keith on the fateful morning of September 11, 2001, my message is simple:
As one of Keith's very best friends, I only recall the wonderful, happy, hysterical and heartfelt memories that I was blessed to share with him dating back to 4th Grade, just prior to him moving from FH to Rumson.
He often made light of distressing situations while alive, essentially diffusing the magnitude in which he passed.
Dig deep. My guess is that you'll all find a reason to reflect and chuckle at a story involving Keith that has left a lasting impression.
If you can't - come find me at the reunion and I guarantee we'll be laughing in a matter of seconds.
