Veronica Melillo

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Veronica “Roni” Joyce Melillo, of Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, passed away at Ocean Medical Center in the early morning hours of February 24, 2021 due to complications of Covid-19. She was born to Barbara and William Melillo on September 29, 1970 at Riverview Medical Center and was raised in Rumson. She graduated from Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School in 1988.

Roni will lovingly be remembered as a wonderful person who was an outstanding mother, daughter, sister and aunt. She embraced every moment with her children, AJ and Ellieand their little pup Spencer. Roni was the most caring, loving, selfless and generous person who cherished her family and was just as beautiful on the inside as the outside. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Veronica was predeceased by her father, William Melillo Sr.; her brother Patrick: her paternal grandparents, Philip and Louise Melillo; and her maternal grandparents, Julius and Camilla Morodan. Her memory will live on through her mother, Barbara Melillo of Rumson; her children, Anthony Joseph “AJ” Horn, and Ellie Louise Horn of Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey; her brother, William Melillo Jr. of Rumson; her sister, Louise Melillo Conover and her husband Christopher of Rumson, her niece, Catherine; a grandniece, Victoria; and nephews, Christopher, Philip, Charles and Theodore Conover, and Patrick, Nicholas and Andrew Melillo and grandnephew Brennan. Roni also leaves behind her many loving aunts, uncles, cousins.
