Robert Bean VIEW PROFILE

Robert "Bob" L. Bean, 73, passed away January 6, 2010, at Minidoka Memorial Hospital in Rupert.

Bob was born January 26, 1936, in Rupert to Lock & Julia Bean. He married Marian Smythe on December 20, 1954, in Rupert. They had three children, Peggy (Bob) Massio of Heyburn, Carol Sherman) Lewis of Rupert, Richard (Gayle) Bean of Twin Falls.

He lived in Rupert all his life and worked as a motorcycle mechanic for many years. He enjoyed his family, motorcycle riding and four-wheeling, shooting guns, and collecting antiques. He was on the board of the Minidoka County Museum since 1985.

He is survived by his children; his grandchildren: Robert Dennis, John Massio, Jeremy Fisher, Steven Bean, Kevin Bean; great-grandchildren, Tobra Allhouse, Kennedy Lutz, Owen Bean; and siblings, Dorothy Lish, Eddie Bean, Larry Bean, Janice Harden, and Lloyd Bean all of Rupert.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandchild, Ricky K. Warren; his brothers and sisters, Paul, David, Byron, Jimmy, Pauline, Opal, Hennie, and Bessie.

Bob requested no formal services.  A celebration of his life will be held 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2010, at the Minidoka Coounty Museum, 99 E. Baseline in Rupert. Please, bring memories to share. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the museum.
