DOROTHY "MARIE' FIKSTAD

Dorthy "Marie" Fikstad, 85, passed away May 27, 2022 at home.  Marie was born in Declo, ID to Albert and Dorothy Herbold on Sept. 28, 1936.  Marie attended schools in the Rupert area graduating from Rupert High School in 1954 before asttending Stevens Henegar Business College in Salt Lake City, UT.  Marie married Merlin Clyde Fikstad in 1956.  They moved to Las Vegas where Marie worked many jobs before working for the State of Nevada, Rehabilitation Division.  She retired after 30+ years in 1996.  Marie was preceded in deathy by her parents, LaMonte Herbold (brother), and Clyde Fikstad (spouse).  Survived by son Lee, grandchildren Adam Lee and Devon Rae Gauthreau (Brandon).  Great grandchildren Grayson Lee, and Rowan Paul Gauthreaux, and Aiden Lee Fikstad.  Sisters Jennifer Loveland AZ and Rosanne Bean, WA.  Marie loved to dance.  She loved her family and her friends, who became family to her.  She loved to travel, shop, cruise, fish, college football, and to laugh.  Did I mention she loved to dance?  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
