Philip Bailey

Philip A. Bailey, 31, died Monday (Dec. 31, 2001) from injuries sustained in a fire in his home. He was born July 31, 1970, in Corry, the son of Chester T. Bailey and the late Patricia A. McCaslin Bailey. He was a graduate of Eisenhower High School and had worked at various jobs since high school. He was a professional drummer and played in many locations throughout Northwest Pennsylvania and New York with several bands, including, San Antonio Rose, Lone Star, Ramblin Fever and Home Grown Band. He attended Bear Lake United Methodist Church in Bear Lake. He loved animals, but music was his passion. Besides his father of Bear Lake, he is survived by two brothers: Chris T. Bailey of Bear Lake and Carl T. Bailey of Dunkirk. Besides his mother, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Frank P. and Grace McCaslin; and his paternal grandmother, Bertha E. Shaffer.
