Hi everyone, I don't know if a lot of you remember me. I kind of was part of the crowd nobody hung with, but enough feeling sorry for myself. It's great to see we have a site that we all can keep in contact with. I am currently living in Tulsa , OK, and get to Russellville from time to time to see my family that still live there. You are probably asking yourself what brought me to Tulsa, well let me tell you. A BIG Yellow Truck.lol. After graduation I had a 'bout with the U.S. Navy where I was able to get enough money to start college after 3 yrs of service. I returned to CA where I enrolled at UCLA to study Veterinary Medicine, but only made it 2 yrs due to health problems. That did not stop me from my dream though. I got a job working in a Vet office and eventually working in helping homeless animals find homes. I t was a GREAT job but in CA barely paid the bills. So I answered an ad for American Express in San Francisco working in their Corporate Travel Division and up north I went. It was beautiful, but spent most of my money on living expenses. A position came available in Phoenix and interviewed and got the job, so off to the desert I went, but never gave up my extracurricular activity with the animals. No matter were you go they need homes. That is were I also met my Partner of 10 yrs. It happened that one day we were shopping and came across a Pet Store that had German Shepard puppies for sale. I had one growing up and had to stop in and see them, there were two left and they stole my heart. So natualrally I had to have them and they are still with me 8 yrs later.

Still haven't told you how I ended up in Tulsa, well here it goes. Craig's mom lived there and was missing Arizona. She had sold her house after Craig's dad passed away and we offered her a place, but she was not an animal lover like we were, so she declined. So in 2000 we put our house on the market and made the 1500 mile trip with 2 dogs in tow, talk about an adventure. And that's how I ended up here. Really miss CA and visit it every chance I get since my sister lives in the Bay Area. We still help with the adoption of animals every chance we get, but every time we bring home an animal, our kids look at us like they are ready to pack their bags and leave. HAHA. They have gotten so used to it that it doesn't bother them any more. I think they know they are only staying for awhile. I am unable to work due to the fact that I have been diagnosed with BI-POLAR disorder so I stay at home and run things around here. We live in a modest historical 2 bedroom home which we are fixing up so it takes up a lot of my time and with a back yard the size of a baseball field, joke, it just seems like it. Allowing for the dogs their freedom. So that's my life after leaving RHS. I know it's not as exciting as some of you guys, but I love it and gives me joy and glad to see that after leaving that we are all doing what we enjoy.
