Jim Garrett

James Edward "Jim" Garrett, age 39, of London, Arkansas, died Saturday, August 16, 2003 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.

He was born July 28, 1964, in Little Rock and was a son of James C. "J. C." and Dottie Sue Bolton Garrett of Russellville. He was a maintenance electrician for POM. He was a former plant steward of Electrical Workers Union at Arkansas Nuclear One and former Union President of Boilermakers Union at Trinity Industries. He was a member of First Assembly of God in Atkins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William E. and Margaret L. Garrett and Emmett W. and Lula J. Bolton.

Survivors other than his parents, include his wife, Debbie Garrett; two sons, Corey Austin Garrett and Braden Alexander Garrett of London; a step-daughter, Brittany Ann Colburn of London; a brother, Mark Allen Garrett Russellville; two sisters, Donna Sue Garrett of Mandeville, Louisiana and Judy Carol Harold of Russellville.

Funeral service will be 10 A. M., Tuesday, August 19, at Shinn Chapel, with Rev. A. E. "Bo" Coffman officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Talbert, James Pruitt, Gene Sax, Scott Britton, David, Jerry, Chuck, and Michael Garrett.

Honorary pallbearer will be Charles Smith.
