when i first started high school, i guess joe was one of the first people i met, we had a lot a classes together, and he always had to pick on me, i was so shy and didn't know what to say to new people, so we became pretty good friends all through high school. when we found out he had cancer, it broke my heart, he was such a sweet person, and i could not understand why he had to be sick! it was just so unreal!he always kept people laughing and had a very good sense of humor. the day he came back to school after being out for a while due to his illness, i had to cry, it was sad, but it was also so good to see him back. then when he died, that was the first friend i had ever lost, and it really hurt so bad, i tried every way to get to the funeral, i had no car at the time, and i couldn't get there, but i have thought about him many many times since school and still miss him very much!!!!! love ya joe!!
I remember Joe, what a card, he loved to make people laugh. I think of him quite often, as a matter of fact, I know some of the things, that he may have went through in high school, and he is one of my heros, for I don't know how he kept up the spirit he had. He is and should be a true inspiration to me, and all cancer patients, and everyone else who knew him, for he fought a good fight and had to die way to young, but he left a mark on everyone's heart he came in contact with. I truly miss you, Joe, you were a good friend to me.
I went to school with Joe all through school. Joe was a great guy and I remember having many laughs with him. The only time I ever saw Coach Adams cry was when Joe passed --- Joe had the heart to push through football practice even as his health deteriorated prior to being diagnosed --- He was a great guy and it is unfortunate that he was taken at such a young age.
