I wish I knew more about Dwayne's life.  I still have wonderful memories of class activities, especially the Sr Homecoming float that was built at my house, with Dwayne and Dave Murada designing and creating the monkey and the cougar that went on it.

I've known Dwayne starting about the middle of elementary school when he moved in several houses from me.  We became good friends.

I remember him as being smart who loved to read, kind and thoughtful, and a little mishievous.  I believe he took clarinet.  He was good at drawing and good with toothpicks.  He used to build one to two foot long toothpick bridges so we could blow them up along with our unwanted Revell models during the 4th of July.  This was our ritual for a few years.

Dwayne loved basketball, softball, the SF Giants, and riding bikes.  I remember us being chased by some farm dogs on the west side of the Sacramento River.  Luckily, we foresaw this and were ready with some modified firecrackers and 'discouraged' the dogs from chasing us when they were a few hundred feet away.

At Kennedy, he enjoyed his electronic classes and club and of course the ROWDY Club.  I remember he was a proud owner of a white VW bug.  Someone told me he was dragging a transformer on I-5 at night and got caught when the CHP officer saw the sparks flying.  I heard Dwayne liked to follow close to the big rigs at night with his lights off, ha!  One day, he found his VW tipped over in front of his house.  I think it was on it's top... okay fess up people!  Dwayne would forgive you now, but he was pretty upset then.

After high school, we went on our own ways.  He went to UC Davis and Sac City and later got a job with the State of CA.  He was married for 10 years?
