I remember Eric, he would always greet me with a smile as we passed in the hallways. I knew Eric through his best friend Garrick, someone that I'd grown up with since the age of two. Eric your life saw troubles indeed but I know now that you rest with angels.
I knew Eric from John Cabrillo Elementary school. His house was in the same direction as mine. Along with Gary Lim, Garrick Hom, Jason Ng, and Glenn Fong (we all lived in the same area) we'd always be goofing around. "Kai Doys" as they say in Chinese. RIP.
I always thought Eric was invincible! He had an abundance of energy and enthusiasm! I remember Eric walking in a little late to my wedding but I was so, Happy to see him there! About five years later I saw Eric at our schools 10 year reunion arriving a little late again (LOL!), and he told me that he'll never forget my wedding date because he won several large sports bets that day!
Eric was a natural born leader and he had an awesome Heart. Anytime I got into any kind of trouble, Eric would always protect me. Erics was the first funeral of my friends I ever attended and I cried a lot... I miss you buddy.
